This month we celebrate the coming of the Light of the world — Jesus! We are privileged to be light in our families, our neighborhoods, our communities and our world.
Here are some worthy projects you could lend a hand to support.
1. In our local community there is an elderly widow raising her three grandchildren along with income from a small catering business. She lives here in Chula Vista. We heard about her need through one of our community networks. If you would like to contribute clothes for the children ages 4, 7 and 9, you can bring them to Concordia and contact email@example.com for more info.
2. Silent Voices in Chula Vista crisis pregnancy center (www.silentvoices.org). Assist a young mom during Christmas time. Diapers are a big need. Find other ways to serve by contacting Melisssa Salomon at firstname.lastname@example.org
3. There are many families right here in Chula Vista that need a helping hand. Donate canned or dry goods to help a families in need. Here at Concordia we have a distribution tub. You could contribute through the week from 6:30am to 6pm or on Sundays from 8:30 to noon. For more information ask email@example.com
We are always scouting new opportunities to do good in our community. Let me know of ways you are serving and places where we also can do good!
